I just received an email from our distributor in Tanzania – he reported that he was requested to bring literature into several refugee camps. Over 150,000 people live in these camps. They fled the war and genocide in Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Most have only one set of clothes and just enough food is provided for a day to day existence. Many pastors fled at the same time and are among the people. They have begun 59 churches in the refugee camps, but have no Christian literature. Our distributor reported that when he drove into the camps with a couple of pick up trucks full of literature from Love Packages there was a shout that came up from the camp, with people shouting and clapping. They were so thrilled to receive the Word of God and to know that someone cared about them.
